Details Of The Author: (C. 16th Cent. A.D.). Navya ̶ nyāya writer of Bengal, disciple of Raghunātha Śiromaṇi. Hall says he was the son of Raghunātha. See Hall, p. 66. This a. should be distinguished from his namesake, surnamed Udīcya (the northener) who wrote a series of works on Sāṅkhya and Smṛti entitled Kaumudī. See JASB. (NS). XI.
