Details Of The Text: or Yamasaṃhitā. deals with Prāyaścitta, Śrāddha, partition etc.; three texts bearing this title are found in which the contents are same, but the number of verses differs: (1) in 78 vv. (2) in 99 vv. (3) 182 vv. in 5 chs. This last one is called as Bṛhadyamasmṛti or Vṛddhaº. ment. in Padmapurāṇa as an example for Tāmasaguṇa, Oxf. 14a. q. by Halāyudha, Vijñāneśvara and others (Bṛhadyama), Burnell 126 b; by Halāyudha (Laghuyama); by Mādhavācārya, Oxf. 270 b. diff. text; by Chalāri Nṛsiṃhācārya in his Smṛtyarthasāgara.
