Details Of The Text: incorporating the Caurapañcāśikā traditionally ascribed to Bilhaṇa; said to have been composed to record a secret intrigue with a princess Candralekhā, daughter of Vīrasiṃha of Mahilapattana according to Kashmir version and Yāminīpūrṇatilakā, daughter of Madanābhirāma of Pāñcāla according to Southern version. According to Bengal tradition she is Vidyā, daughter of King Vīrasiṃha and the poet ̶ hero is Sundara (also called Corakavi). See Keith, HSL. pp. 188 ̶ 89. Dasgupta, HSL. I. p. 368.
